Topics getting the most attention in Oakley public meetings, ranked by how frequently they come up.
New Oakley Library & Community Center
Mayor Henderson laid out 2026 priorities: establishing a 55-acre park, extending Laurel Road to Sellers Road to ease traffic, breaking ground on the new library, and maintaining police services funding and staffing.
Dedicated senior center for Oakley
A resident asked the council to study creating a dedicated senior center, noting Oakley's Studio 55 program has limited hours (9 a.m. to 2 p.m., four days a week) and shares space with other programs, unlike dedicated centers in Antioch, Brentwood, Concord and other nearby cities.
Skating Surface Request at Creekside Park
A resident asked the city to add a smooth quad-skating surface at Creekside Park, or at least resurface part of the rough skateboard area, as a budget-friendly family recreation option.
